7. Classic Fruit Crisp
Need something for summertime munching? This classic fruit crisp is my all-time favourite and I am sure that once you will try this, you will definitely love this.
Ingredients
Topping:
All-purpose flour: 1- ¼ cups
Sugar: ¼ cup
Brown sugar: ¼ cup
Cinnamon powder: ¼ tsp
Canola oil: ¼ cup
Filling:
Rhubarb: 2 cups (fresh or frozen slices)
Strawberries: 2 cups (sliced)
Blueberries: 2 cups (fresh or frozen)
All-purpose flour: 1/3 cup
Brown Sugar: ¼ cup
Cinnamon powder: 1 tsp.
Instructions
Preheat the oven and grease quiche dish with oil spray and set aside.
In a large bowl combine all-purpose flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon powder and canola oil and mix together until you have a crumby mixture. Also in another bowl, combine strawberries, blueberries, rhubarb, flour, and brown sugar and cinnamon powder. In already prepared dish, spread the fruit mixture evenly and top with topping mixture and place a parchment paper over the dish to prevent any spills. Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the topping changes its colour to golden brown and the juices starts to bubble up. You can also check the doneness by inserting the knife into the crisp and if it comes out hot, your dish is ready to serve.
You can serve either cold or warm, your choice. It tastes equally delicious.
